Larry is the main character's publisher who picked them to live out their dream as an author but made a bad call and suffered the consequences of his gamble. For the beginning of the player's story, he provides the player with odd jobs to help support them. Before picking the player's avatar, they play as Larry to choose who the protagonist will be and once the choice has been made, the player, now in control of their character, will then pick their significant other.
